why hire a birth doula?
Having continuous support from a birth doula can make a meaningful difference in your birth experience. With a doula by your side, you may be:
Less likely to have a cesarean birth
Less likely to need certain medical interventions
More likely to experience a shorter labor
Less likely to use pain medication
More likely to have a spontaneous vaginal birth
More likely to feel supported, confident, and informed
More likely to have a positive birth experience
Better supported with movement, positioning, and comfort techniques
More supported in communicating your preferences and making informed decisions
More likely to have a partner who feels confident and involved
A doula doesn’t replace your partner or medical team. She adds continuous emotional, physical, and informational support so you never have to navigate labor alone.
